Agenda Item #16

Item Title
Approve Spot Educational Plant Survey for Disposal of Tynes Parkway Right-of-Way and transfer of drainage ponds

Issue/Rationale

Tynes Parkway is currently owned by the School Board of Clay County, Florida.  This action transfers ownership of the road right-of-way to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) and the retention ponds east of the road to the developer (Nassau Timber & Investment, LLC).  This will allow continuation of the road and development to the north of Tynes Elementary.

The developer will make improvements to the roadway as required by the BCC, and the School District will be relieved of responsibility for the maintenance of the retention ponds and the road.

Recommended Action
Approve the Spot Educational Plant Survey recommending the disposal of Tynes Parkway right-of-way and the transfer of drainage ponds at Tynes Elementary.

Financial Impact
None.
